Vendor

NetSecurity Corporation is a small American company in Reston, Virginia, founded in 2004, that combines a forensics and incident response practice with a product built out of that work. Its founders' background is in investigating breaches, and the product reflects what investigators want to have had installed beforehand. That product is ThreatResponder, an endpoint platform delivered through a single agent called Rover, covering Windows, macOS and Linux. It combines detection and response with identity threat detection, vulnerability detection and deep forensic investigation — host isolation, process and network termination, and recovery of deleted files — in one agent rather than as separate tools. It is a genuinely small vendor selling largely to US federal and commercial clients, and it does not enter the public malware test cycles, so this index can record its capabilities but not comparative results.
