Professional informationJob title, company, company size, industry, country and job function, asked when you first sign in; optionally work email, seniority and categories you follow.
What you send usCorrections and product submissions, linked to your account.
Internet activityThe web server’s access log (page, time, IP address), kept briefly; searches, with nothing that identifies you; page views through Google Analytics, only if you accepted the banner.

We collect no sensitive personal information.

2. Where it comes from

From you, from the sign-in service you choose, and from your browser when you visit the site.

3. Why

To run your account, to review what you send and come back to you about it, to answer searches, and to keep the site working and safe, and, if you agree, to see which pages are read.

4. Sale and sharing

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. Google Analytics is set up not to feed Google’s advertising, but you can still turn it off above. Accounts are for people aged 18 or over.

6. Your rights

You can ask to know what we hold about you, for a copy, for it to be corrected, or for it to be deleted. You can edit your profile or delete your account yourself on your account page; for anything else, email us. We may ask you to confirm from the email address concerned, and we will answer within 45 days (one month for requests under the GDPR), extendable once by the same again if a request is complex — we will tell you within the first period if we need it. Someone you authorise may ask for you. Using these rights costs nothing and will not change how you are treated.

If we turn a request down, we will say why. You can appeal by replying to that answer with the word appeal; someone who did not make the first decision reviews it and answers within 60 days. If the appeal is refused too, you can contact your state Attorney General.

7. Changes and contact

This page changes when what we do changes; the date on Privacy moves with it. Questions or requests: info@cyberindex.com.

May we count your visit? CyberIndex would like to use Google Analytics to see which pages are read. It sets cookies and sends your visit to Google. Decline and nothing is loaded — the site works the same either way. Privacy.
