Quick Heal Technologies Limited

Vendor

Quick Heal grew out of a computer repair shop. Kailash Katkar started CAT Computer Services in Pune in 1993 fixing machines, and the antivirus his brother Sanjay wrote to clean up customers' infections became the product; the company took the Quick Heal name in 2007 and listed on the Indian exchanges in 2016. It is still headquartered in Pune, and is one of the few consumer antivirus makers built for a domestic market rather than an export one. The consumer line carries the Quick Heal name: Quick Heal Total Security, Quick Heal Internet Security, Quick Heal AntiVirus Pro, Quick Heal Total Security for Mac, Quick Heal Total Security Multi-Device, Quick Heal Mobile Security and Quick Heal AntiVirus for Server. Everything sold to organisations carries a different brand — Seqrite — covering endpoint, network, data and identity protection. Same company, different name, and it is the name a buyer comparing enterprise products will meet instead of this one. The company says it employs over 1,000 security staff and runs what it describes as India's largest malware analysis lab; both are its own figures.
