Vendor

IObit is a utilities company that also sells anti-malware, not the other way round. Launched in 2004, it is best known for Advanced SystemCare, a one-click PC clean-up and tuning suite, and for Driver Booster, which updates drivers; it says it has over 100 million users across more than 190 countries. Its security product is IObit Malware Fighter, sold in Free and Pro editions and designed to run alongside a conventional antivirus rather than replace it — the company positions it as an additional layer, and it is usually bought as part of the utilities bundle rather than on its own. Advanced SystemCare Ultimate is the edition that packages the antivirus engine with the tune-up tools. The rest of the range is maintenance software: IObit Uninstaller, Smart Defrag, IObit Software Updater, Protected Folder and MacBooster. A buyer comparing IObit Malware Fighter with the full suites in this index should expect it to be tested less often and to be built for a different job.
