Ideco

Ideco LLC (ООО «Айдеко»)

Vendor

Ideco is a Russian network security manufacturer that develops its own gateway platform, sold mainly to Russian enterprises, schools and public bodies. Its position, like that of the other Russian vendors in this index, has been shaped by import substitution policy: products in the national software registry are what state buyers are required to purchase. Ideco NGFW, listed here as Ideco NGFW Novum, is its next-generation firewall, combining firewalling, intrusion prevention, web filtering, VPN and application control on its own Linux-based platform, sold as software, hardware or a virtual machine. It is not sold in Western markets and is not entered into the international public test cycles, so what this index can record for it is the product rather than comparative results.
