ClamWin Pty Ltd

Vendor

ClamWin is a free antivirus for Windows, released under the GNU General Public License, and one of the very few genuinely open-source security products in this index. It is a graphical front end and scheduler built around ClamAV, the open-source engine, developed by a small volunteer team. One limitation is fundamental and the project states it plainly: ClamWin does not provide real-time, on-access scanning. It scans on demand or on a schedule, which means it will find malware already on a machine but will not stop it arriving. Users who want live protection typically pair it with something else, and the portable edition is commonly kept on a USB stick for cleaning other people's machines. It is free, its source is public, and no vendor submits it to the paid laboratory test cycles, so the columns here will stay empty for it.
