Vendor

Uptycs is an American company in the Boston area selling security for cloud-native infrastructure, and its technical foundation is osquery — the open-source tool that exposes an operating system's state as a database that can be queried. Uptycs built a platform that runs those queries continuously across laptops, servers, containers and cloud accounts, and analyses the results centrally. What that produces is one view spanning developer laptops through to production Kubernetes, which is its main argument: the same telemetry model from the code a developer writes to the workload it becomes. Its product covers cloud security posture, workload protection, detection and response and compliance from that single data set. It is bought by platform and security engineering teams rather than by IT departments choosing antivirus, and the endpoint laboratories do not test this category. Vendor page →
