Vendor

Stormshield is the cybersecurity subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space, and its market follows from that: French and European government, defence, healthcare, utilities and industrial operators, who buy it because it is European-owned and certified for classified use rather than because it is the cheapest option. Its products hold French ANSSI qualifications and approvals for EU and NATO RESTRICTED information — a distinction very few vendors in this index have. The range is organised by what is being protected: Stormshield Network Security for firewalls, including the industrial models used in operational technology networks; Stormshield Endpoint Security on workstations; Stormshield Data Security for encryption that stays with the file; and Stormshield XDR, Stormshield Log Supervisor and Stormshield Management Center for detection and administration. Its endpoint product takes a hardening and behavioural-control approach rather than a signature-first one, which is worth bearing in mind when comparing it against products designed for the consumer market and tested as such.
