Product

CatchPulse is an anti-malware product from SecureAge that uses a zero-trust, default-deny approach, blocking untrusted applications from running. CatchPulse reduces that risk by blocking untrusted execution by default, validating what’s allowed, and giving admins control without turning every install into a fire drill. CatchPulse is built for small teams and home users who need strong protection, clear prompts and minimal noise. CatchPulse automates advanced threat protection, giving every user–from CEOs to home users–proactive defense without complexity. CatchPulse covers Windows.

Vendor

SecureAge is a Singapore company of over twenty years' standing whose central idea is encryption everywhere: every file encrypted at rest, in transit and in use, bound to identity rather than to a location, so that data taken from a system is useless to whoever took it. Its products are built around that rather than around malware detection. CatchPulse, listed here, is the exception and the newer line: endpoint protection built on default-deny control, blocking untrusted applications at the point of execution instead of trying to recognise them as malicious. SecureData, SecureFile, SecureEmail and SecureAge Central are the encryption and management products the company is better known for, and it has been moving them to post-quantum cryptography. A default-deny product behaves differently in tests from a scanner, blocking unknown software well and being more likely to stop legitimate software that is not yet trusted; its protection and false-positive figures are best read together.
