Vendor

360 built the largest consumer security business in China by giving it away. Zhou Hongyi founded the company in 2005 in Beijing and made its antivirus free at a time when rivals charged for it, which took the market and left advertising and services to earn the revenue. It listed in New York, went private in 2016, and relisted in Shanghai under the code 601360. Its products are household names in China under their Chinese names: 360安全卫士 (360 Security Guard), the utility most Chinese PCs run, with 360杀毒 (360 Antivirus) as the scanner, 360手机卫士 (360 Mobile Security) on phones and 360安全浏览器 as the browser. 360 Total Security is the international edition, and the enterprise products are sold as 360 Enterprise Security Cloud. The scale is domestic and vast, and the international presence is a small part of it. Where results from the European laboratories do exist here, they are usually for 360 Total Security, the export product, rather than for the products Chinese users actually run. Vendor page →
