MOVEit Transfer is a self-hosted managed file transfer server that runs on Windows Server, on premises or in a customer-chosen cloud. Users and systems exchange files over SFTP, FTPS and HTTPS or through a web interface, ad hoc packages and shared folders, with transfers logged to a tamper-evident database. Scheduled workflow automation, AS2 and OpenPGP processing come from the separately licensed MOVEit Automation. Progress® MOVEit® Transfer is a leader in managed file transfer trusted by enterprises across the world in the most private and regulated industries. Absa unified its file transfer systems across more than 10 countries, replacing 5 legacy tools with a single Progress MOVEit environment. The shift to MOVEit cut file transfer setup time by 75%, reducing the IT team managing file transfers from 60 to 9, freeing resources for higher-value customer deliverables. It is delivered as on-premises software.
