Product

Cloud firewall (FWaaS) in the Netskope One platform, enforcing egress firewall policy for remote users and offices. Netskope One FWaaS (firewall as a Service) provides consistent egress traffic firewall protection for all users and locations without the need for hardware or back hauling traffic to central locations. Netskope One FWaaS enables firewall rules for all ports and protocols to only allow what is desired and thus closing off possible ports and protocols that attacks and malware could use for movement. Netskope One FWaaS allows organizations to retire local firewall appliances and simplify their branch infrastructure. It is available as a cloud instance.

Vendor

Netskope was founded in 2012 and sells security that sits between users and the cloud services they use, rather than on the devices or at an office perimeter. Its original product inspected traffic to software-as-a-service applications — who is uploading what to which cloud account — and it grew into a full secure access platform as that became the SASE market. Netskope One is the platform, and the product listed here, Netskope One Firewall as a Service, is the firewall delivered from its network rather than from an appliance at a site: traffic from any location is sent to Netskope, inspected there and forwarded, which is how a distributed organisation applies one policy everywhere. It protects traffic and data rather than endpoints, so the malware laboratories do not test it. Its comparisons in this index are with the other cloud-delivered security platforms. Vendor page →
