Vendor

genua is a German security manufacturer in Kirchheim, outside Munich, founded in 1992 and part of the Bundesdruckerei group — the federal printing office, which produces Germany's passports and identity documents. State ownership of its parent is central to what it sells: its customers are German federal agencies, the armed forces, intelligence services and critical infrastructure operators. Its firewalls are approved by the BSI, Germany's federal information security office, for handling classified material up to VS-NUR FÜR DEN DIENSTGEBRAUCH and equivalent NATO and EU RESTRICTED levels — approvals that take years to obtain and that almost nothing else in this index holds. genugate is the two-tier application-level firewall the company is known for, built from two different operating systems so that one flaw cannot open both halves; genuscreen provides encrypted site-to-site links, genubox remote maintenance access to industrial plant, and genucard secure remote working, with cognitix Threat Defender for network traffic analysis. This is not a product a household buys. It is bought where a national approval is a legal requirement, and it should be read in that light rather than against consumer suites. Vendor page →
