Next-generation firewall appliances with content- and context-aware data security, from SOHO models up to data-centre models. The Data Security Firewall takes a Data First Approach — understanding your organization's data, providing deeper data-level visibility, and controlling the data threat surface to prevent exploitation. From GS 20nu to GS 1360nu — GajShield appliances deliver the highest levels of performance and security for SOHO, SME, enterprise, and data centre deployments. Breaks down the packet into multiple data points using the Contextual Intelligence Engine, creating a structured form for security policies. It is available as a hardware appliance.

Vendor

GajShield is an Indian firewall manufacturer from Mumbai, founded in 2002, and it makes a specific technical argument: that a firewall should understand the data passing through it rather than only the ports and protocols carrying it. It calls this its Contextual Intelligence Engine, and it means data leak prevention is built into the firewall rather than sold as a separate product. Its appliances are sold as the GajShield Data Security Firewall across four sizes — SOHO, SME, enterprise and data centre — with a virtual firewall for private clouds and an edition for Microsoft Azure. It sells mainly in India, where it competes with the global appliance vendors on price and on local support. As a network product it is not assessed by the malware laboratories, and the data-inspection claim is the thing a buyer would need to evaluate directly. Vendor page →
